Clash on Principle!

Having placed 2nd in the Body Fitness show (and voted best legs), i took the suggestions of the judges, returned to the drawing board, and set out to improve at least enough for me to contend selection for the CAC. Further to that, the JABBFA itself held meetings with athletes wherein the decision was taken to hold local champs as the 'selection process' for CAC. Any changes to that ALL would be informed. Well to my surprise, changes occurred about which I WAS NOT informed at all, yet, a team was selected which would now go on to prepare for the CAC.

While having no problem with the change, the fact that i was not informed prompted me to ask questions as whether or not this was deliberate! The response i received was 'the information was out there". This i thought was unacceptable simply because having received a telephone call about a meeting, which in my estimation was far less important, i could just have easily been informed in the same way, about the change in selection! My conclusion: the decision was already made and so as not to complicate it, i was deliberately excluded!

Now the media got wind of this, noting particularly that i had placed 2nd in the local competeition, and started to ask questions! Naturally, I was accused of blowing things out of proportion and attempting to ambush the assn and setting out to embarrass them! Well they did this WITHOUT my help by not being straightforward, transparent and honest! Oh and by sounding like an unprofessional, discombobulated, two-tongued ass on national radio would do the trick too!!! (sound clip to be posted soon). Bottom line - with such clear evidence of sports politics at work, i brought to light and argued on the principle that the JABBFA was not fair and clear in the way they handled the selection and should definitely think TWICE about a repeat because athletes are NOT idiots...at least I AM NOT!
